.... | All about our Picasso posters Picasso's
work has been exhibited very often, in musea and in galleries
and consequently there are many posters announcing these events. Yet there
are clear differences in appreciation. The Premier League: also called original posters by Picasso. These are posters Picasso made especially for the event and for which he did not use already existing work or parts there of. These are all lithographs, also catalogued and are numbered 1 to 53 by Czwiklitzer in his book on Picasso posters (SPADEM, Paris 1970). The Second league is formed by those posters who are also catalogued in Czwiklitzer's book. These posters range from 1946 to 1970 and are not designed by Picasso for the special event. Usually an existing work of art is used by Picasso or the gallery/museum. Click here for our complete range of picasso posters. Some examples of our original picasso posters:
![]() The Third league is formed by all posters not in Czwiklitzer but in Rodrigo. Later than 1970. Collecting Picasso posters is exciting because it brings you closer to an extremely interesting artist and it often gives you an interesting view on our recent history. Needless to say that Picasso posters are increasing in value. Especially the early ones, the lithographs and those which are extremely decorative! That is the nice thing about a poster: follow your own taste and you will enjoy your poster everyday. Much wiser than a Nasdaq-shape; your poster (collection) will not depreciate in value!
