Our newsworthy articles
Summer is arriving!
At last, here in the south of France it is getting warm, all
things green are growing fast and in the weekends the roads are
almost blocked! Nothing new and time to do some thinking.
Examining the nationalities of our clients, it becomes clear that
GB and US are by far the largest buyer groups. Is this due to
higher internet-acceptance or a wider spread interest of posters
and affiches? It must be the first reason because collecting
affiches in France is certainly as popular as it is in Anglo
Saxony! So where are the French and the Germans? And where are our
friends from Japan? And Australia?
We have added some very nice posters, mostly cars and car-racing,
but in art we added 4 Van Dongen, a beautiful Magic Flute
(Zauberfloete) by Chagall and some other various subjects. Check
them out on our site:

We hope you will enjoy our stock!
Posterpeter!
The Year 2004.
Quite a large part of our clientele is American and consequently
pays us in$$ and those $$ have weakened considerably. Sorry, but
we live, buy and collect in Euroland and for you, paying in $$,
our posters get more expensive. Bottom line: for Americans our
posters are now some 20% more expensive than a year ago. Only
cause: currency exchange!
This winter we have seen a continuing price increase for touristic
posters. Especially French and Italians and of course those
beautifully designed English ones (they were already very
expensive!).
Other subjects on the increase: art gallery (Chagall!) and vintage
cars. Lately we have been invited to some very nice car
collections where our posters proved fantastically attractive
backgrounds for vintage cars!
Apart from the currency troubles of our American friends; overall
we see healthy international demand and we have received the first
enquiries from China! We felt quite proud and strengthened in our
belief in the worldwide attactiveness of our posters.
Wishing you a lot of pleasure with your and our posters,
Posterpeter.
NEW THIS SUMMER on PostersAffiches.com
Although this summer is terribly hot in all of Europe, Amsterdam
being as hot as St. Tropez, we have been working hard to find
interesting poster/affiches for you.
Proud we are of the Le Mans 24 Hours poster of 1968. This is the
June version and – what only the real connoisseur knows – in 1968
Le Mans was not run in June but in September, due to the student
rebellions in Paris. De Gaulle fleeing to Geneva! Yes, Yes, Yes. A
poster with historic relevance. Also we've added nice vintage
posters from Picasso, Van Dongen and Miro. Enjoy yourself while
browsing through our stock lists. Also, a rare Club 55 St. Tropez
poster etc. etc.
You can check them out on

Question: what is nicer to have? 25 Cisco shares or 25 Nokia
shares or one nice vintage poster of your personal liking? In
terms of overall satisfaction and in term of small investment?
We know the answer!
We wish you all a nice holiday and "see you in September"!
Regards
PosterPeter

P.S. Our ref. 1419, "Grand Prix Nederland, 1982" has been won
(free) by a Dutchman who answered the question impeccably!
Congratulations. We have one more, so have a try! We suggest you
pay attention to our texts because we always hide possibilities
for you to get the poster free!
25 05 2003 - NEW PURCHASE AND SOME MARKET
COMMENTS
Yes! We have purchased a nice number of high quality posters
for you in the recent months!
15 new Picasso posters, almost all lithographs and in good
condition. And what about 12 new Chagall's of awesome creativity.
Also some 10 new vintage car racing posters.
Comments on the Market:
1. Quality sells very well. Quality vintage posters continue to
increase in value, they broaden
your view on the world and are nicer to look at than some
Microsoft shares!
2. Americans are buying again after a year of hesitation.
3. Prices for quality rise and rise. Especially Chagall and pre-WW
II French exhibition posters. Also the fifties are doing well (now
getting over 50 years old).
We hope you'll enjoy browsing through our inventory and please
don't hesitate to ask if there is a question.
