All about framing
Increasing the pleasure of your poster is a good framing.
Although always a matter of taste there are some rules:
1. The framing is also important for conservation of
your poster. The larger your poster the stronger your
framing has to be. Go for safety, usually wood and
remember it is not the poster that causes the need for
strength; it is the glass! (see Cognac Jacquet: wood).
2. The brighter the image the more you will prefer
normally reflecting glass. The darker or patinated the
image the nicer it usually is to use "unreflecting" glass
or plastic. (Chagall, normal glass).
3. The more modern your poster is the more you might
prefer simple framings (Niki de St. Phalle). |

4. Gold or black, wood or metal or plastic, there is a
wide variety available to satisfy your taste.
You can always contact us at
info@poster-affiches.com for experienced advise. We
can, of course, frame your poster before shipping but remember
that shipping costs increase terribly.
And why not send us a picture of the poster you bought after
framing and hanging it in your home! We might put it on our
site if the result is very satisfying!
